Sports Ministries UK (SMUK) is a network of organisations which work in sports ministry across the UK.

Some organisation work within the world of sport, trying to reach competitive and elite players with the Good News of Jesus, while others use sport as a vehicle to take the Good News of Jesus to different contexts and communities. Some organisations do aspects of both.

The SMUK network meets together annually to do the following things:

1. Sharpen gospel convictions
2. Share best practise to inspire and help equip
3. Support each other in friendship and prayer

The network is also committed to signposting churches and other organisations to the different activities and expertise that these various sports ministries have.

Ambassadors

FOOTBALL

Ambassadors Football’s vision is to serve the local church, inspiring and equipping it to build Christ-centred relationships through football.

They want to Invest in churches and invest in people to share Jesus through football.

Christians in FOOTBALL

Christians in Football is the national network of Christian-based Football Clubs in England and Wales. We run, organise and direct the National Christian Cup and Trophy Competitions, network key leaders in the CIF network and organise short-term Football Mission Tours.

Christians in Sport is a movement of sportspeople who love Jesus and love sport. They work primarily with elite and amateur sportspeople in local clubs and teams.

Faith RXD (UK)

We encourage Christians to take the church into the Strength and Fitness community; providing models and support to do so. Creating a network of individuals and organisations in the Fitness space who have an evangelical heart to take the gospel to the lost. We also run events pointing the fitness community to Christ.

JESUS SAVES RACING

The Jesus Saves Racing Team exists to be a Christian witness in Motorsport and see the Gospel advance across our nation. Through competition, trackside involvement and evangelistic outreach we strive to share the message 'Jesus Saves' with the motorsport community and inspire others outside our sport with our story.

KICK

KICK's mission is to transform young peoples lives, with God's love, through sport and support. We go into schools and deliver Physical Education, street dance coaching, solutions focused mentoring and Chaplaincy. We then train local churches to run extended sports ministry called KICK Academies through volunteers to transform lives

PASSION FOR SPORT

Passion For Sport uses media to introduce sports fans to Jesus by developing content designed to engage fans and make the gospel accessible. For over 15 years we have produced regular weekly radio programming broadcast across the globe. Our newest project creates immersive fan experiences in host cities during major international sports events.

SCRIPTURE UNION

Scripture Union support churches across England and Wales to reach the 95% of young people not in church with the good news of Jesus. Our sports team has a particular focus on training and equipping churches & local mission partners based on estates and underserved communities.

SPIRIT IN SPORT

Spirit in Sport, Reaching the community through sport for Christ. We are a Christian charity working to engage the church with its local community.

Spirit in Sport looks to promote good health and wellbeing for the public benefit by the provision of community sports activities for children and adults of all ages.

We run holiday sports clubs, after school sports clubs and weekly in school sports for children. 5-a-side football league and 3 v 3 basketball league for youth and young adults, and for the over 50's a walking club, and senior citizen fitness fun club.

Christian based football club with teams from u8 to adults playing in FA affiliated leagues with in Suffolk.

We help train, support and facilitate the placement of sports chaplains across all levels of sports in the UK and Ireland. Sport chaplains provide pastoral and spiritual care to all. We have a dream to see an expression of God’s love and compassion in every community called sport.

SPORTSREACH

'Reaching the world for Christ through sport' is the drive behind all we do at SportsReach. We run soccer and netball schools with churches in the school holidays as well as running football, 5 a side and netball leagues in the Lancaster area during the winter. Our overseas missions work sees us take teams into Europe as well as a schools work in Kenya.
